French Spotlight Event to Feature the Regional Premiere of Custody (Jusqu'à La Garde)

On Tuesday, May 1st, 2018, the 19th annual Newport Beach Film Festival presented by Pacific Sales will present its French Spotlight, an evening celebration of French cinema and culture featuring a screening of Custody (Jusqu’à La Garde) followed by a festive post-screening gala.

Custody (Jusqu’à La Garde) follows an 11-year-old boy’s fight to ensure his abusive father does not win shared custody. The odds are unfortunately stacked against him and his fearful mother, as his father is deceptively playing the part of a kind and caring parent before the court. Custody (Jusqu’à La Garde) is written and directed by Xavier Legrand, starring Léa Drucker, Denis Ménochet, Thomas Gioria, Mathilde Auneveux, and Florence Janas.

Custody (Jusqu’à La Garde) (In French with English subtitles), will screen on Tuesday, May 1st, 2018 at 7:45 p.m. at The Triangle (1870 Harbor Boulevard in Costa Mesa, CA 92627). The post-screening celebration will take place at 9:30 p.m. at Time Nightclub (1875 Newport Blvd B245, Costa Mesa, CA 92627). The event will include select tastings from top Orange County restaurants, traditional entertainment as well as multiple DJs and a special performance by Orange County Aerial Arts. Hosted bar by Tito’s Handmade Vodka.
