Two devoted Jurassic Park fan’s dedicated their Tuesday to breaking one of the park’s records.
Jurassic Park-The Ride was previously rode 60 times by two best friends, making it the unofficial record for most times ridden in one day.
Chelsea and Devin, two Los Angeles locals, were ready to break the record after hearing of the ride’s closing date on Sept. 3.
The couple had made a tradition of going to Universal Studios every year for Chelsea’s birthday to ride the Jurassic Park ride.
Over the course of 13 hours the couple managed to go on the ride 62 times- breaking the previous record by 2 rides. However- the historic day’s excitement didn’t end with that accomplishment…
Devin had a bigger surprise awaiting with a custom made misquote amber ring perfect for a record breaking proposal.
As the evening approached so did their last ride, and as the camera clicked away on the ride’s big drop Devin unzipped his jacket revealing a shirt saying “Chelsea will you marry me?”
Once they got off the ride the couple approached the photo kiosks and looked at their last picture on the ride. Chelsea noticed the shirt, Devin kneeled down and pulled out an official Barbasol can prop replica for the proposal.
While on one knee Devin popped the question, Chelsea agreed with glee and the rest was history.
