Freedom is the glory of God. Democracy is its birth right, and our vote matters.”

It’s been 17 years since American audiences last saw President Bartlet and his administration. Now, with less than a month remaining until the general election, HBO Max has revealed the trailer for “A West Wing Special to Benefit When We All Vote,” which will premiere on the platform on October 15.

Rob Lowe, Allison Janney, Dule Hill, Janel Moloney, Richard Schiff, Bradley Whitford, and Martin Sheen. Will all reprise their role from the Emmy winning series, for a special theatrical stage presentation of the “Hartsfield’s Landing” episode from the show’s third season.

Additionally this special episode will also include act breaks with guest appearances from When We All Vote co-chair Michelle Obama, President Bill Clinton, Lin-Manuel Miranda and more.

To support the importance of voting and to raise awareness for HBO Max’s A West Wing Special to Benefit When We All Vote. TNT will air Friday marathons of The West Wing, starting on October 9 leading up to the general election in November with election-themed episodes.

When We All Vote is a national, nonpartisan, non-profit launched by Co-Chair Michelle Obama in 2018 on a mission to change the culture around voting by bringing together citizens, institutions, brands, and organizations to increase participation in every election. They are also on a mission to close the race and age voting gap and empower all eligible voters to cast their ballot by harnessing grassroots energy, establishing strategic partnerships, and implementing digital organizing strategies.

No matter what side of the aisle you fall on, everyone can agree on two things — the importance of voting, and the fact that no other politically-themed series in the history of television captures the spirit of democracy better than Aaron Sorkin’s The West Wing,” said Brett Weitz, General Manager for TNT, TBS, & truTV. “We could not be happier to lend our air at this critical time to this groundbreaking series in an effort to inspire would-be voters and to highlight the work of our partners at HBO Max for their momentous Special.

For those unfamiliar with the season three episode, “Hartsfield Landing,” revolves around the night of the general elections. Where the residents of a small town in New Hampshire are casting their ballots – all the President Bartlet awaits the results, while his Deputy Chief of Staff, Josh Lyman, is busy lobbying for every vote he can up until the last possible second.

“The West Wing” spanned seven seasons and provided a behind-the-scenes look at the lives of an eclectic group of frenzied staffers in the Oval Office and the West Wing of the White House.
