AMC Releases Trailer For August 23 Premiere of Fear The Walking Dead

AMC also release’s details on season 6 of The Walking Dead will premiere on October 6

Fear The Walking DeadAMC Television hit a strong blow at comic-con showing off the season 6 details for The Walking Dead as well as the premiere announcement for Fear The Walking Dead which is set to premiere of August 23.

Fear The Walking Dead will be a prequel to the original series. Set in Los Angeles, “Fear the Walking Dead” focuses on new characters and storylines, stars Kim Dickens (Gone Girl, “Sons of Anarchy”) as Madison, Cliff Curtis (“Missing,” “Gang Related”) as Travis, Frank Dillane (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince) as Nick and Alycia Debnam-Carey (Into the Storm) as Alicia. Also joining the cast as series regulars are Elizabeth Rodriguez (“Orange is the New Black”) as Liza and Mercedes Mason (Quarantine 2: Terminal) as Ofelia.

“Robert Kirkman, Dave Erickson and the fantastic writers, producers, cast and crew responsible for bringing ‘Fear the Walking Dead’ to life have been hard at work creating an entirely distinct and compelling new series,” said Charlie Collier, AMC and SundanceTV president. “We join ‘Fear’ before the rise of the zombie apocalypse with an interesting family dynamic as its entry point. After years of planning, that we are now only six weeks from sharing ‘Fear’ with the world is truly exciting.”

The Walking Dead will return on October 6 with a 90-minute episode and was announced during the same panel. A trailer was also released for this upcoming season.

“The Walking Dead” stars Andrew Lincoln as Rick, Chandler Riggs as Carl, Danai Gurira as Michonne, Melissa McBride as Carol, Sonequa Martin-Green as Sasha, Lauren Cohan as Maggie, Steven Yeun as Glenn, Norman Reedus as Daryl, Lennie James as Morgan, Seth Gilliam as Father Gabriel, Michael Cudlitz as Abraham, Josh McDermitt as Eugene, Alanna Masterson as Tara, Christian Serratos as Rosita, Tovah Feldshuh as Deanna, Ross Marquand as Aaron, Alexandra Breckenridge as Jesse, and Austin Nichols as Spencer.
