Pasadena, CA – Pasadena host its’ annual art event last Friday, October 9. Â For one evening, once a year, Old Town Pasadena is transformed into something truly unique called, Art Night.
Art Night is an arts festival that pays homage to local Los Angeles based artists by giving eclectic live music performances and visual art exhibits all throughout the town.
The event only lasts four hours, from 6pm-10pm, which means hustling from one stage to another to an art gallery can be an exhausting 30 minutes. Luckily for us, we did not sweat a bit. Art Night wants to make sure people see everything the evening has to offer. To do this, there is a free shuttle coordinated that picks you up at Pasadena City Hall and drops you off at a several main destined locations off of Colorado Boulevard.
Although the chances of missing some of the presentations if likely due to the limited time, you will still thoroughly had a blast. Dancing was also featured at the MUSE/IQUE stage with The California Feetwarmers. The California Feetwarmers is a rare sound these days. They make you want to groove and bring all those ol’ time good feels from the early 1940’s-50’s with New Orleans Jazz. With a nine piece band playing instruments including the banjo, harmonica, saxophone, trombone, and washboard The California Feetwarmers was a wonderful way to enjoy the evening. It was a great part of the evenings events to end by dancing the night away.
Art Night gives the opportunity to listen and experience music, art and other cultural experiences in the San Gabriel Valley. To learn more about Art Night please visit http://www.artnightpasadena.org.
