Atom Tickets, the first-of-its-kind theatrical mobile ticketing platform and app, today announced that visionary filmmakers Steven Spielberg, J.J. Abrams, and Tyler Perry have joined its newly formed advisory board. The board will serve as a resource to Atom Tickets as it continues to bring the most innovative and convenient theatrical movie experiences to consumers.

“The formation of the Atom Tickets advisory board underscores our commitment to building the best product and experience available to movie-goers,” said Matthew Bakal, co-founder and Executive Chairman of Atom Tickets. “We are extremely fortunate to have industry leaders Steven Spielberg, J.J. Abrams, and Tyler Perry as the first members of our advisory board. As we build a company that is enhancing the movie-going experience, we are grateful to have the opportunity to seek their deep experience and knowledge in the motion picture industry.”

“Our hopes are that Atom Tickets triggers a social movie-going revolution. This is a big win for anyone who loves going to the movies with his or her friends,” says Steven Spielberg.

“The best ideas are the ones you can’t believe don’t exist already. Atom Tickets makes going to the movies with your friends easy, fun and more affordable. It’s the app that studios, exhibitors and moviegoers didn’t know they needed,” says J.J. Abrams.

“Atom Tickets is a game changer for anyone who loves going to the movies, making it an easier, more fun and more social experience,” says Tyler Perry.

“Steven, J.J., and Tyler’s wisdom and passion will help us use our state of the art technology to create a better experience not only for consumers, but also for our studio and exhibitor partners,” said Ameesh Paleja, co-founder and CEO of Atom Tickets. “Their insights, vision, and connections to fans will be incredibly valuable to Atom.”

Atom Tickets will look to announce additional members to the advisory board next year.
