Bad Cop/Bad Cop Hit A Grand Slam On First EP Boss Lady thru Fat Wreck Chords

Bad Cop/Bad Cop Boss LadyIn stores today and available throughout the country is the new EP, “Boss Lady” from the four piece female punk band formed in Los Angeles, CA known as Bad Cop/Bad Cop.

The group consist of Jennie Cotterill – Lead vocals/guitar Linh Le – Bass/backup vocals, Stacey Dee – Lead vocals/guitar, Myra Gallarza – Drums. These four ladies have come a long way since we first met them in February at the Redwood Bar in Downtown LA and interview them at Detroit Bar in Costa Mesa.

After playing at the “Lilith Bear” party during San Francisco Bear Pride 2013, they were supported and encouraged by an unlikely audience member: NOFX’s Fat Mike.

“After our set, Mike approached and said he liked all the songs and Fat Mike decided then that he was going to do something with our band. I almost crapped myself, and the rest is history,” says Dee.

The new 4-song EP “Boss Lady” is such a fresh and refreshing sound that will also rip your head off in true California Style. Heavy guitars, deep baselines, and awesome drum work will pull you in and lyrics that will make you stay and at the end of the EP with the song “Asshole” will leave you wanting more.

What really grabs me are the hooks in each of these songs that will get you going. They feel familiar of the great music of the past which you will enjoy every time you listen to the EP.

“Boss Lady” is a must pick up for your music library. You will not regret it and we see these girls going a long way.

Bad Cop/Bad Cop keeps the strength of female punk rock alive out of the city of angels such as bands like The Runaways and most recently Go Betty Go. A must see band when they are in your town.

The band will be playing a couple dates the first being the Redwood Bar on April 12 in Downtown Los Angeles. The brief tour will end at the awesome punk rock party in Las Vegas Punk Rock Bowling on May 26 with NOFX.
