The John Wick franchise is more popular than ever, making it a great time to release the new three-part event titled, “The Continental: From the World of John Wick”, exclusively on Peacock. The four films in the franchise have brought in over one billion dollars, with the most recent one, “John Wick: Chapter Four” making a whopping $426 million in ticket sales.

In that time, the films have been able to expand the franchise with a rich world of characters and locations that have the potential for more stories. This is where the new series “The Continental” comes in, as we explore some of the history of the fabled hotel, which is arguably the centerpiece of the entire John Wick franchise.

In this series, we explore the rise of a young Winston Scott, played by Colin Woodell, who in the films is played by the legendary Ian McShane. Fans of the franchise will enjoy seeing how he is able to take The Continental from an unhinged Cormac, played by Mel Gibson.

NEWS x MUSE had the opportunity to get a special look at the making of “The Continental”, thanks to an invitation from Peacock to the famous Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood, which had been turned into a real-life version of the hotel for assassins. There the creative team talked about the making of the series and how it needed to change as the franchise went from the big screen to the small screen.
