BOWIE Producer JEFF ROUGVIE Releases Music Industry Comic Book

GUNNING FOR HITS, a new comic book series, written by, Jeff Rougvie, award-winning producer and writer known for working with David Bowie, Elvis Costello, Big Star, Morphine and others. Rougvie is partnering with artist Moritat (The Spirit, Harley Queen, Hellblazer).

Rougvie centers the series on his extensive background in the industry, focusing on his time spent with David Bowie, who is the centered in the first storyline. The series, GUNNING FOR HITS, will be be released in tribute to Bowie, on January 2nd, 2019, between the anniversaries of his birthday and passing.

Image Comics published, GUNNING FOR HITS, the story of a record company talent scout, Martin Mills, in the messy 80s NYC music business. After a failed couple of hits, Martin attempts to come back with an album and collaborates with his favorite classic rock legend. Martin has to use his lethal abilities from his unknown past when things go astray to save his reputation and the artist’s career.

Each feature comes with a Spotify playlist and a background feature.

GUNNING FOR HITS will be available in both paperback and digital.
