BTS has become the first k-pop band that has been able to top the US album charts with their latest album, Love Yourself: Tear.

The album topped the Billboard Top 200 chart Sunday selling 135,000 units. The data is gathered from album sales, downloads and streams of their album in during a week period. Billboard had mentioned it is the first time in 12 years that a foreign language album hit the top of the chart. Along with all that the band also hit number one on iTunes in 70 countries.

The band fan base known as the BTS Army has been a big support to the band worldwide which helped the group get to the chart with no problem. Their songs have made fans of all ages which has not been seen in some time.

It has been a great week for the band from Soul, South Korea as last Sunday BTS won a Billboard Award as well as selling out all 14 North America dates, including the opening four consecutive concerts in the 21,000 capacity Staples Center here in Los Angeles.

In addition to the US stop the band will take their tour around the world making stops in the UK, Netherlands Germany and France.
