BUD LIGHT FLOODS THE STREETS OF CLEVELAND

The Cleveland Browns defeated the New York Jets in their first victory of the season, unlocking the Bud Light victory fridges on Thursday night.

In August, the American lager company announced a promotion that would supply fans with free beer after the Browns first victory of the season. The coolers were to remain locked until the team secured its win.

The Browns, who have struggled to find their franchise quarterback, had not won a game since 2016.

The number one overall draft pick, Baker Mayfield, quickly became the hero as his performance gave the fans what they wanted, a win and free Bud Light.

Mayfield said, “Dilly Dilly to the Cleveland fans.”

The Browns struggled early to find any success as Tyrod Taylor threw for a mere 19 yards. Fans called out for Mayfield early in the game as they became frustrated with Taylor’s performance.

As the first half winded down, Taylor was ruled out with a concussion giving Mayfield his first career opportunity.

Mayfield rallied the team together to overcome a 14-point Jets lead at the end of the first half. The team went on to defeat the Jets 21-17.

Mayfield said “Football is hard to have success, its tough to do your job.”

The rookie quarterback threw for 201 yards and successfully completed a 2-point conversion that resembled the infamous 2017 Super Bowl “Philly Special.”

As the status for Taylor is unclear for week four, Mayfield may have the opportunity for his first NFL career start.

The Browns now 1-1-1, prepare to face the Oakland Raiders on Sunday, Sept. 30th.
