Fullerton, CA– California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) will host another installment of “Concert Under the Stars” this Saturday, September 17 at the Intramural Fields located near Gymnasium Campus Dr., north of the Titan Gym.

Following the success of last year’s “Motown Sound,” this year’s theme celebrates the history in sound of Dick Clark’s thirty-seven year TV smash “American Bandstand” through a variety of genres of big band, jazz, country, gospel, funk, blues, punk and pop, performed by students and alumni from CSUF’s acclaimed College of the Arts.

As the university’s annual premiere fundraising fall event, all proceeds go towards student success in raising funds for scholarships. Although donors also attend the show, “Concert Under the Stars” is a community outreach event, welcoming all to join. Tickets are free and can be reserved at CSUF’s website, http://www.fullerton.edu/concert/lawn.asp.

Food trucks will be available, and concert-goers are welcome to bring chairs, blankets and picnics for an al fresco “under the stars” dining experience. Sponsors will be treated to a catered dinner and a VIP reception.

General parking for the event will be held at lots A &G located on Yorba Linda Blvd. and west of the Goodwin baseball field.

The concert will start at 7:30 pm but gates will open at 5pm. The show will conclude with a firework finale.
