On Monday, July 19, VeVe announced that it has partnered with Chaosium Inc., makers of the Call of Cthulhu tabletop roleplaying game, to bring their Mythical horror content to the digital collectible market.
Call of Cthulhu NFT features the collectible sculpture of the Idol of Cthulhu and Necronomicon – also known as the Book of the Dead. The Idol of Cthulhu will feature three different alloy metals in the market for its release on Friday, July 23, during San Diego’s Comic Con@Home convention. Veve has confirmed that the collectibles will be “first-ever convention exclusives” that they will release to fans of the game.
According to VeVe’s medium page, they will provide images of the collectibles coming and a detailed description of the four collectibles. That information will also include the item’s rarity, edition number, License, brand, availability, and most importantly, the pricing.

Necronomicon (Book of Dead)
Four collectibles are included in the exclusive series to the roleplaying game. Created by Type40 artist Simon Lissaman, The Sculpture of The Idols is a game where the idol is made to feed off humanity’s fearful imaginings. Necronomicon, created by Lissaman along with Seth Laster, is known as “The Book of The Dead” and offers a glimpse of the inconceivable cosmic horrors that may occur.
Founded by Greg Stafford, Chaosium Inc. has been a publisher of role-playing games since 1975. The success of their well-known RPG game Call of Cthulhu, has garnered more than two million views on YouTube, which also includes their other award-winning RPGs such as RuneQuest, Pendragon, and 7th Sea.
The Call of Cthulhu digital collectables drops on Veve this Friday, July 23, during San Diego Comic-Con @ Home.
