Canelo Álvarez Celebrates Handprint Ceremony at Yamashiro Hollywood

Canelo Álvarez, Mexican professional boxer and World Champion in four weight classes, received another career milestone on March 20, as he cemented his handprints at the historic TCL Chinese Theatre. The pound-for-pound sports star will join the likes of athletes like Kobe Bryant, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and Hollywood classics Marilyn Monroe and John Wayne.

Yamashiro Hollywood hosted Canelo Álvarez and celebrated his honor at the renowned and famed restaurant the same evening. Sponsored by HollyGold, guests enjoyed Yamashiro’s newly redesigned grounds for outdoor seating in the private garden.

Yamashiro kept guests’ safety a top priority by following strict Los Angeles County Public Health protocols and tested every guest before allowing them to join the outdoor after-party. Yamashiro is a pinnacle for celebrations in Los Angeles. Their Japanese-inspired decor, breathtaking panoramic views of Los Angeles, and rich history create a chic, beautiful backdrop.
