Dominic Toretto is at it again with the latest installment in The Fast and the Furious films, with Fast and Furious 9 and Cardi B is in on the fun.
Just when you think the Fast and the Furious saga will end, the plot continues to thicken. The much anticipated film is set to release in theaters on Friday, June 25th.
Fast and Furious 9 will be enticing its fans with its continued theme as an action and adventure thriller with old faces and new for the whole family to enjoy.
The latest story in the series opens with none other than Dominic Toretto living a peaceful life with his wife Letty and their son. All seems well until it isn’t. Years of living in the fast lane catch up to Dom and his crew as yet more problems arise that need to be addressed and put to rest. As if the loyal Fast and Furious fans have not been blindsided enough with the storylines and plots, we, the audience learn of a new arch-nemesis, a brutal assassin who happens to be none other than Jakob, Dom’s brother, played by John Cena.
Along with Jakob, we are introduced to Leysa, played by the “I Like It Like That,” superstar, Cardi B as a woman from Dom’s past. Reggaeton artist, Ozuna, also makes an appearance. Helen Mirren, Charlize Theron, and Kurt Russell come into play as new characters as the plot turns. Returning cast members include: Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Sung Kang, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, and none other than Vin Diesel.
Justin Lin, a fan favorite, returns as not only the director after his work on the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth installments, helping solidify this franchise into having global recognition. The story is by: Justin Lin, Alfredo Botello, and Daniel Casey. Daniel Casey and Justin Lin teamed up to write the screenplay as well. Justin Lin will also be a producer on this film, alongside Vin Diesel, Neal H. Moritz, Jeff Kirschenbaum, Joe Roth, Clayton Townsend, and Samantha Vincent.
