CONCACAF announced the dates for the Grand Final of the most prestigious club tournament in the region – 2018 Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League, Tuesday.
The semifinal round culminated Tuesday night in Mexico City, where Toronto FC earned a 1-1 draw to advance on a 4-2 aggregate. The Canadians joined CD Guadalajara after the Mexican side visited the Red Bull Arena and kept their 1-0 advantage from the first leg.
The first leg of the final will be played on Tuesday, April 17, when Toronto FC host CD Guadalajara at BMO field in Toronto. While the decisive leg will take place on Wednesday, April 25, at the Estadio Akron in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Kickoff times will be reviewed with the clubs and leagues and be announced in the coming days.
Since the Mexican side earned more points (4-1-1, 13 points) through the previous rounds, they will host the second leg; the MLS side finished with a record of 3-2-1 and total of 11 points.
The champions will represent the region in the 2018 FIFA Club World Cup in the United Arab Emirates.
