In extra time the Chicago Fire Marco Pappa found a way to find the back of the net against Chivas with a left footed shot from outside the box to the bottom left corner. The assist was given to Frederico Puppo that closed the door on the match. It was the fifth home loss by the Goats this season for a team that has played well on the road but cannot find a way to win at home.

On the bright side Chivas was able to finally find the net at home in the first half of play. Chivas scored the first home goal of the season in the 23 minute of play when Juan Pablo Angel scores on a penalty shot to the bottom left corner of the goal which passed Fire goalie Sean Johnson. Though Chivas was only able to hold the one goal lead for two minutes before allowing Austin Berry to tie the game with a shot from the center of the box to the bottom left corner getting passed Chivas goalie Dan Kennedy.

Will the Chivas find a way to win at home. It is hard to say they get close but just cannot hold the leads when opposing teams find a weakness in the defense. The team will be hitting the road going up north to San Jose Earthquakes with the following week on the 19th of May for the Super Clasico against the MLS champs Los Angeles Galaxy.
