Universal CityWalk has expanded their dinning options. Serving fine cuisine in a casual environment. The two new restaurants are Antojitos Cocina Mexicana and VIVO Italian Kitchen. They were designed for Angelenos and out-of-town visitors to enjoy.
Antojitos Cocina Mexicana will make you feel like you’re in the heart of Mexico with eye-catching traditional Mexican decor and pops of colors that compliment the hand-painted murals in the restaurant. Antojitos has open space seating, private dining rooms and outdoor patio for all your family needs and size. There’s entertainment for everyone to enjoy with live musical performances.
Not only will your ears be stimulated, but so will your taste buds. All fresh ingredients to create the perfect meal for all types of eaters. Antojitos offers a select vegetarian option. The substantial menu features items like Guacamole Trio and Chips, including signature guacamole, pomegranate guacamole with queso fresco and pepita guacamole with jalapeños and lime salt; Carnitas Nachos (crispy pork carnitas); Queso Fundido (melted Oaxaca, Chihuahua and cotija cheeses); Chicharrones de Pollo (crispy chicken bites, chili lime salt); Elote (street corn) and Sopa de Tortilla, to name a few. Antojoitos will have you feeling like home away from home with the food, drinks, and music.
VIVO Italian Kitchen takes a more sleek modern look. Ran under the stewardship of Executive Chef Cyndi Tran, they pride themselves for serving family recipes passed down through generations. The restaurant features indoor and outdoor dining for more intimate gatherings.
The menu includes homestyle Italian cuisine like warm homemade Italian bread, Tuscan kale and white bean soup, creamy garlic mushroom sauté, mussels marina, house-made meatballs, a variety of Paninis, tempting hand-tossed, hearth baked pizzas and a selection of innovative twists on classic pastas favorites. VIVO Italian Kitchen has great drinks as well, featuring a variety of Italian-inspired cocktails, conceptualized by an expert mixologist, and a broad selection of wine to complement each meal.
