CNN’s Anthony Bourdain Dead at 61

Anthony Bourdain celebrity chef, journalist, food expert, social activist, and host of CNN “parts unknown” found dead in his France hotel room on Friday. Bourdain was 61.
Bourdain found unresponsive Friday morning by a friend and Chef Eric Ripert near the French city of Strasbourg. His death is a suicide.
Christian de Rocquigny du Fayel, the French prosecutor said Bourdain hanged himself inside the luxury hotel. “At this stage, we have no reason to suspect foul play,” he said.
The chef and storyteller explored culture, cuisine and brought it into the living rooms and bedrooms of viewers. Bourdain was said to be filming for an upcoming segment of his CNN series “Parts Unknown.”
As a result of his success, Bourdain became a household name to many families and brought us together even through death.
In fact, viewers felt connected to Bourdain through his travels and his on-air personality.

Also, former president Barack Obama also tweeted about Anthony Bourdain and their shared experience.

Also, Bourdain’s death comes days after fashion designer Kate Spade died of suicide at her Manhattan Apartment.
“His talents never ceased to amaze us and we will miss him very much,” CNN said in a statement. “Our thoughts and prayers are with his daughter and family at this incredibly difficult time.”
Overall, CNN is currently airing the 11th season of “Parts Unknown,” and CNN said it has not made a decision yet on whether it will proceed with the current season.
