San Diego, CA – Marvel Studios used the 2013 Comic-Con in San Diego to announce the final films in phase 2 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Kevin Feige was on hand to announce the three remaining films leading to second Avengers film being directed by Joss Whedon. The following films were announced:
Thor: The Dark World brought outÂ Tom Hiddleston dressed as the iconic character Loki who will be in the upcoming sequel to Thor. Thor: The Dark World opens in theaters on November 8 and see the return of Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman.

The second film was next springs release of Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Some footage of the film was screened for the attendees with a special Q & A for the guest who attended. The stars in attendance were such as Captain America Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson directors Joe and Anthony Russo as well as Sebastian Stan to name a few.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier is set to be released on April 4, 2014.
Guardians of the Galaxy had just started production and as a special treat flew the entire cast from London, England over night to be apart of San Diego Comic-Con. Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Michael Rooke, director James Gunn and more were in attendance to answer questions. The production is only 15 days in and could not say to much but did show some of the costumes and released a special image first look at the team.
Guardians of the Galaxy will be in theaters on August 1, 2014.
Just when you thought the presentation was over Feige introduced Joss Whedon to the stage. He did not have much to say but released the title for the upcoming Avengers sequel, Avengers: Age of Ultron. Ultron was ranked by IGN as one of the top villains in comic book history.
