CONCACAF Releases Quarterfinals Schedule for 2018 Champions League

The matchups and kickoff times are set for the quarterfinal round of the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League 2018, CONCACAF confirmed Thursday.

The end of the round of 16 saw four Liga MX, three Major League Soccer, and one Panamanian Soccer League clubs advance to the quarterfinals. 

New York Red Bulls and Seattle Sounders (USA) were the last teams to qualify and joined Mexican clubs: Club America, Chivas de Guadalajara, Tigres UANL and Club Tijuana, as well as current MLS champion Toronto FC, and Panamanian club Tauro FC.

This tenth edition is the first to feature a home-and-away format. Club America (MEX) – the most successful club of the competition – will kickoff the round in Mexico City versus Tauro FC (PAN) on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. PT. That same night Club Tijuana (MEX) will host NY Red Bulls (USA) at 7:00 p.m. PT. 

The first-leg round will culminate the following day when Toronto FC (CAN) and Seattle Sounders (USA) host Tigres UANL (MEX) and Chivas de Guadalajara (MEX) respectively.

Semifinal round is scheduled for the first two weeks of April, while the Finals, home and away, are scheduled for the last two weeks of April.

The winner of the tournament will represent the region during the 2018 FIFA Club World Cup in the United Arab Emirates.
