CW released the first image today of The Flash to be played by Grant Gustin in the spinoff series to Arrow which starts production next week. The costume was designed by Academy Award winning designer Colleen Atwood who also designed the Arrow costume.
Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg who, along with Geoff Johns, will write the pilot episode with “Arrow” pilot director David Nutter.
Gustin with play Barry Allen who superhero alias is The Flash. Joining Gustin for the show will be Candice Patton as Iris West, Jesse L. Martin as Iris’s father, Detective West, Michelle Harrison​ as Barry’s mother Nora Allen, Rick Gosnett as Central City Police Detective Eddie Thawne, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon, DaniellePanabaker as S.T.A.R. Labs bioengineer Caitlin Snow, Tom Cavanagh as S.T.A.R. Labs CEO Harrison Wells, and John Wesley Shipp, from the original “The Flash” TV series.
The Flash will air on the CW in the fall of 2014.
