It is a day that seemed like it might never have come. After teasing BTS’s superfans, Army, for a while now, J-Hope is finally making it official. Mark your calendars Army because he is finally releasing his mixtape on March 2nd, 2018.
Big HIT Entertainment, BTS’s label, made the announcement, which also coincides with the release of fellow BTS member, Suga’s “Agust D” mixtape being released in the American Market. Cleverly, nicknamed, “Hixtape” will be J-Hope first solo album and marks the first musical release of 2018 for BTS. Now there has been no word on the official name of the mixtape, but J-Hope took to Twitter to share a a video clip and let fans listen to what’s in store. He captioned the video clip, “Mix!!! -ing #HopeWorld #jhopeMixtape.”

With the release of his mixtape, he becomes the third member of BTS to release a solo album. In 2015 BTS is leader, RM dropped “Eponymous” and in 2016 Suga released his mixtape called “Agust D.” Hope has been a frequent co-writer and has produced several songs for BTS.
