David Bowie released yesterday the new video for the track “The Next Day.” The video was pulled for a short time on YouTube and then was back on the video sharing site later that day. The video also includes actor Gary Oldman, Marion Cotillard and directed by Floria Sigismondi.
In the video Oldman plays a priest who punches a begger while his way into a club, where he joins other priest dancing with prostitutes. Bowie is dressed in the video as Jesus is providing the music in the club. The video features different religious imagery in the video that had offended some in the catholic church. Is it really offensive or is it just an artist expression?
