Via Instagram story, American DJ Deorro shared his excitement in joining the Toyota USA team. The Bailar artist watched Super Bowl LII alongside two other influencers that have recently announced their relationship with the corporation as well. This included fitness coach Massy Arias and Wild-N-Out’s Timothy DeLaGhetto.
Los Angeles native Deorro began his DJ career performing at local venues and house parties. And by the age of just 17, he had began producing his own music.
Fast forward to now being signed to Ultra Records, Deorro has performed at various International festivals and events including Nocturnal Wonderland and the Good Life Festival and Future Music Festival. He has gained the support from elite artists within the EDM genre like Porter Robinson, Dillon Francis, Steve Aoki, and many others after his rapid rise to success. Also, the DJ owns and operates his own record label, Panda Funk, in an attempt to focus on making quality music and expanding its overall reach and audience.
Similar to influencer Timothy DeLaGhetto’s thoughts on Toyota’s #WeAreAllOne campaign, Deorro compared his experiences of dealing with team dynamics within his career in an interview with MUSE. He refers to his team members as a part of his family, which could be understood with how much time they spend with one another.
Toyota’s campaign features a group of male friends, from very different ethnic and religious backgrounds, that get together to share the experience of watching a football game. Their shared interest in the sport of football unites the group of men that may not have otherwise connected with one another. This is the message Toyota is trying to relay to its viewers and one that Deorro states to be one of the reasons why he endorses the company.
