Oh man, these guys. Seriously, you couldn’t ask for a more solid straight forward new rock n’ roll band. Before I get into they’re music, I have a bit of a bone to pick with “rock.†Cut it the F*%K out, this bullshit alternative scene right now?
What the hell is this? I wanna hear you play your damn instrument, I don’t wanna hear what it sounds like through 12 different computers. I’d like to see you play live and rip apart a stage. Quit playing it safe and play what you wanted to play in the first place.
Alright, now thats taken care of, I’ll begin. In the note and undertone of keeping things real, Band of Skulls does just that. Back with they’re 2009 release of Baby Darling Doll Face Honey, they quickly opened the ears and busted the balls of a lot of people around the globe. Rock n’ Roll that sounds sexy and full and unapologetic, thats these guys. With large versatility, and knowhow to either keep the lights on and push and shove, or to turn things down and slow the setting.
That amount of, stick-it-to-ya holds true in their latest album, Himalayan. Enjoy!
