Disney Pixar’s Incredibles 2 Non-Spoiler Review

Fourteen years later… this Disney and Pixar sequel won’t disappoint! The Incredibles 2 takes you right back to where the first film left off. We see the Incredible’s back together as a family, fighting crime.

“It’s for anyone who likes movies. You don’t need to have a kid. I made it for you [adults],” Director Bird said.

Bird decided on a different main villain for the film, rather than keeping the mole creature, The Underminer, seen at the end of the first Incredibles.

“I just realized it didn’t serve the story, and so the villain plot kept changing,” Bird said.

With all the hype of superheros seen through Marvel, Bird wanted the sequel to be more about the family.

“I thought ‘there’s too many superhero movies now, are people going to be sick of this?’ Then I realized what excited me about the idea in the first place was not the superheroes, it was that it’s about the family dynamic,” Bird said.

The first film left us surprised that Jack-Jack has powers, the rest of the family finds that out later during the sequel. All our favorites are back: Frozone, Edna Mode and a few new supers who come out of hiding.

Elasticgirl fearlessly steps up in the sequel to protect the city. As she famously says in the first film: “Leave the saving of the world to the men? I don’t think so!”Incredibles 2

“It was awhile before I really realized what I get to do in the movie. It was like a retroactive thrill. To me, it was just really fun,” Holly Hunter said.

Don’t miss this movie! Incredibles 2 premiers this Friday.
