If you have been waiting to purchase an annual pass or go to Disneyland on Sunday you will feel a price increase that may put a damper on family day. A little less than a month from the completion of construction at Disney California Adventure, the Disney Company are raising the prices of all admission to the theme park. A one park, one day admission will increase $7 to $87.
It is currently $80 from the price increases that were made last year. A family four going to Disneyland or Disney California Adventure to spend a family day will now be paying $348 plus the $15 parking and your are looking at $363 before you even enter the gates.
The annual passports will also be increasing this year with their premium annual pass that does not offer any restrictions increasing to $649. An increase of $150 from the $499 price it was this past year. “A Disneyland Resort ticket offers a tremendous value for guests to experience our world-class attractions, and is based on the quality experience we consistently deliver,” said Suzi Brown, a Disneyland Resort spokeswoman, in a statement. “Like all business, we periodically evaluate and adjust our pricing structure to ensure we are offering a great entertainment value.”
How this will affect the park in an economy that has still not shown stability and millions still out of work. We will have to see on the when the park goes from the peak summer season to the off -season when Southern California locals usually venture to the Anaheim Resort.
Here is a diagram of the new ticket prices that go into place on Sunday, May 20.
