Disneyland will soon remove Bride Auction from Pirates of the Caribbean Ride

After years of tearful women awaiting to meet their highest bidder, the wenches on Disneyland’s Pirates of the Caribbean have been sold as brides.

The park has announced a big change to a crowd favorite ride. As of April 23, Disneyland Park will replace the women bound by rope to a scene of townspeople surrendering their valuables to the pirates. The tall redheaded woman from the auction will remain on the scene, but now as a rifle-toting pirate guarding the booty (but not that kind this time).

The Magic Kingdom Park in Florida will also be taking out this scene from their ride. Coming soon to Disneyland Paris, this park will be the first to feature Captain Barbossa, along with a skeletal crew, on their Pirates’ attraction. Ghostly visages of Davy Jones and Blackbeard will warn that “dead men do tell tales” to haunt any scalawags that dare to set sail on their water.

The Paris location will see some changes to the Blue Bayou Restaurant, which will reopen as Captain Jack’s. The interior theme of the restaurant has been changed and the establishment has been staffed with a fun-loving band of pirates.
