Eduardo Cabra, the star songwriter and ground breaking producer known as VISITANTE begins previewing a new project and pushes contemporary boundaries in Latin music.
The Latin star’s, Trending Tropics is a groundbreaking multi-media, music project. This marks his first release as an artist after his collaborations and famously known work with Calle 13.
Cabra already holds a record setting of 28 combined GRAMMY and LATIN GRAMMY awards. The 2017 Latin Grammy for Producer Of The Year, was featured in a special Q&A late last week at MIDEM—Europe’s Leading Music Conference.
Executive Director of Latin content, Leila Cobo, announced “Visitante’s forward-thinking and creative touch has deeply influenced today’s Latin music scene.”
Now his “Trending Tropics” finds Visitante and collaborator Vincente Garcia, creating traditional Afro-Caribbean and Caribbean cultures and rhythms, intertwined with the sounds of contemporary and experimental recording techniques.
Visitante is set to travel to New York for final production work on “Trending Tropics” and will follow a live stage debut at Central Park Summer stage on July 14th as part of The Latin Alternative Music Conference.
Musicians already joining Visitante and Vincente Garcia for “Trending Tropics” include legendary David Bowie guitarist, Carlos Alomar, Ana Tijoux, Jorge Drexler, Li Saumet, Ile, Amayo, Acentoh, Wiso G, Pucho y Guille and more.
