EGEDA US, in collaboration with Amazon Studios and Prime Video, hosted the largest gathering of the Hispanic audiovisual industry in Los Angeles at the renowned Beverly Hills restaurant TATEL with an exciting viewing party to honor the Oscar nominated film “Argentina, 1985”.

The event was a unique opportunity to celebrate the film’s success with the participation of more than 400 relevant personalities from the audiovisual industry who gathered to support and recognize the team’s achievements and whose cast and members joined the celebration after the ceremony. Great actors and actresses like Sergio Peris-Mencheta , Miguel Ángel Muñoz , Maxi Iglesias and Stephanie Cayo walked the carpet among others. In addition, there was the support and presence of institutions such as the Consulate General of Argentina in Los Angeles.

Despite not having returned home with the Oscar in hand, the film “Argentina, 1985”, directed by Santiago Mitre, has already made history by being recognized with more than 15 awards at international film festivals and awards, including the Special Jury Prize at the San Sebastian Film Festival, the Golden Globes ¨Best Motion Picture – Non-English Language¨ or Best Ibero-American Film at the Goya Awards, among many others.

The success of the viewing party reflects EGEDA US’ commitment to promoting and supporting the Ibero-American audiovisual industry in the United States and looks forward to continuing to be an ally for Ibero-American filmmakers and artists in the future.
