What To Expect From WWDC 2017 Keynote

Tomorrow morning will be the first apple keynote of 2017 to open the Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) in San Jose, CA. The question is what will Tim Cook be talking about and what Apple has coming soon. We have not heard to much when it comes to leaks.

Until tomorrow at 10 am we will let you know what we heard on what we will see during the press conference.

MacOS 10.13:

We have not heard much about the upgrade but we have heard an upgrade to the MacBook family of products. So macOS is sure to be upgraded as well, possibly keeping up with the name of California landmarks like Sierra. We expect their to be more integration with the mobile operating system as the last update did with Apple Pay on the web, Siri integration and auto-login across different devices.


TVOS 11:

This year we may finally see Amazon Video and Vudu to the Apple TV. We may also hear the first word of when Apple TV programs like Carpool Karaoke will be released and possibly other programs to be released. Will Apple be jumping into the HULU, Netflix space next when it come to Apple TV as well across other devices via iTunes.

Apple TVOS

iOS 11:

A lot of buzz could be coming around the new operating system coming from Apple. iOS 11 may give some hints on the next iPhone 7s, 7s Plus and the special edition 1oth Anniversary iPhone that has been rumored for late 2017. The rumor has been a talking about a dark mode for the display. We may also see an upgrade to SIRI digital assistant which has fell behind other assistants from companies like Amazon and Google. We may see updates on iMessage and FaceTime possibly allowing people to talk to multiple people using FaceTime. We may also see more iPad-specific elements for iOS coming to the iPhone and to end it on the iOS and update on Apple Pay.


Here is the what we have heard from the rumor mill on the hardware products Apple may talk about. Here are four key points:

  • A bigger iPad Pro which may be 10.5 inch screen.
  • New MacBook models will be updated to the latest Intel processors. The iMac desktop line is in need of an update since not must has changed since the last update in 2015. Apple did confirm new iMacs are coming in 2017 it is was not said when they will be announced. Mac Pro has not been updated since they released the cylinder Mac Pro in 2013, yes the Mac Pro is already 4 years old. We have heard rumors that a new Mac Pro will be coming soon so we hope to get some details on what is to come with the update on this line.
  • Voice-enabled Siri smart speaker that will compete with the Amazon Echo and Google Home.
  • An entirely new Apple TV with finally offering 4K support.
