The story of “Frozen” will be coming to life in a theatrical production in summer 2016 at the Hyperion Theater at Disney California Adventure Park. The show will have special effects, costumes, and surprise scenic transformations.

With the show opening next summer, Aladdin will make its final goodbye and set the Genie free. “Disney’s Aladdin- A Musical Spectacular” has had over 14,000 shows and it will take the final curtain call on January 10, 2016.

Since its 2003 debut, the Aladdin musical features the entrance on the elephant, the magic carpet ride, tour-de-force performance of the wise-cracking genie, and an original song by Alan Menken and the ever-evolving. Kris Theiler, the Vice President of Operations for Disney California Adventures park says the show has enjoyed a longer run that expected and they’re excited to announce more exciting news about another story coming to life.

Fans will have plenty of opportunities to watch the Aladdin performance on its last show day. For those wondering how the Park will celebrate, stay tuned to Disney Parks Blog.
