Film Review: Sam Mendes Elevates Bond Films in SKYFALL

007 SKYFALL BONDToday we see the release of the 23rd James Bond film in the long running franchise and the 50th Anniversary of the franchise. “SKYFALL” is the latest film in the series with Daniel Craig returning as James Bond and directed by Sam Mendes.

In this film Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost. This is a must see Bond film and really completes the development in the last two Bond films of the character. Mendes tackles the character that is a good mix of action, suspense and drama that makes this film one of the best of the series. That is actually very hard to say because Sean Connery as Bond in “Dr. No” was before this film one of my favorites.

“SKYFALL” has changed my opinion on that from the beginning of the film to the end it is just an joy to view and Javier Bardem as the main villain, Silva was a perfect casting and plays very well with all the actors in the cast. Mendes is one of the top directors in the business and it show in this film.

“SKYFALL” is out in theaters now and I highly recommend it to see it if your a Bond film fan or not. Enjoyable from beginning to end and great 50th Anniversary film in the franchise.
