The Funeral Portrait Premiere New Song/Lyric Video on

The Funeral Portrait

Five-piece rock band The Funeral Portrait has partnered with to premiere their new song “Wax Poetic” off their debut EP For The Dearly Departed. The quintet announced earlier this month that they signed a deal with North Carolina record label Revival Recordings (owned by Shawn Milke of Alesana). The six song EP was produced by Milke and engineered/mixed by Neil Engle at Adelaide Recording Studios in Raleigh.

Producing The Funeral Portrait record was an incredible experience,” says Milke. “It is so refreshing to be around a band that has a vision and is willing to put in the hard work and go the extra mile to bring that vision to life. Signing them was a no-brainer for me. The sky is truly the limit for TFP.”

The Funeral Portrait guitarist/vocalist Juergie Landstrom adds”Working with Shawn and Neil was by far the most comfortable experience I’ve ever had in the studio. Shawn pushes us to be the best version of ourselves and that’s one of many reasons why we are all so proud of this EP. I’m super excited to show everyone the final product.”

For The Dearly Departed will be released on 9/23, during which time the band will be on the “Chaos Is A Ladder” tour.  Other acts on the bill include Alesana, Megosh, and The Things They Carried. Full dates and links to purchase tickets are listed below.
