Grammy Award Nominations Released

GrammyLos Angeles, CA – It’s that time of the year again- the 57th Annual Grammy Award nominations have been announced. The announcement of four categories were made live on “CBS This Morning”. Throughout the day nominations were announced via Twitter. The Album Of The Year nominees were revealed on “A Very GRAMMY Christmas” special on CBS, which concluded the announcements.

It was no surprise that Disney’s feature film Frozen was nominated for Best Score Soundtrack For Visual Media, as well as Best Compilation Sound Track For Visual Media. Frozen’s song, “Let It Go”, written by Kristina Anderson- Lopez and Robert Lopez, sung by Idina Menzel, was nominated for Best Song Written For Visual Media. The music in this film was so popular this year, there is such a high chance that they will receive the awards.

As for the Best New Artist category, Iggy Azalea, Bastille, Brandy Clark, Haim, and Sam Smith made the list. Iggy’s songs may have been played over and over on the radio, but my vote is for Sam Smith seems to be more passionate and lyrically inclined. All About That Base, Chandelier, Shake It Off, Stay With Me, and Take Me To Church are the nominations for Song Of The Year. I am having a difficult time deciding between Chandelier and Shake it Off. Although I turn the volume all the way up when Chandelier comes on, I cant help but instantly be in a good mood when Shake It off Plays. They both have completely different vibes, but if at least one of the wins the Grammy, I will be

happy. The most awaited announcement will be for Album Of The Year, and boy will it be a tough one! I am rooting for four out of the five nominees (sorry Beck). The nominees are Beyoncé- Beyonè, X- Ed Sheeran, In The Lonely Hour-Sam Smith, Girl-Pharrell Williams, and Morning- Beck.

To find out the rest of the nominations visit Make sure to watch the Grammys on Sunday, February 8, 2015 to see who receives the prestigious awards.
