“It’s the place where you can come and be as mild or as wild as you want to be,” Michelle Facey, says of Hedonism II. “No one judges you. Everyone is super friendly. It’s the place where you can be free to be yourself and discover yourself. It’s the place where you can come and live out your fantasy,” Facey continued.

Hedo II, located in Negril, Jamaica, is an adult’s paradise. Facey is the resort’s Social Engagement Manager. “We also have a lot of people that come and get married there,” she added. “It’s a little bit of something for everybody.”

At Hedo, the experience is what you want it to be. They create the environment, and then guests get to create their own pleasure in paradise.

The clothing-optional resort allows for all different kinds of adventures. You can explore the nude beach, go scuba diving, go sailing, eat a fantastic meal at one of their specialty restaurants, get a massage in their spa on the beach, or dance until 5 a.m. – there is always something to get lost in.

Hedonism II has the highest repeat guest occupancy of any hotel in the world; 70 percent of their guests are repeat customers. “The great thing about us, is that you make friends for life here,” explains Facey. “I tell everybody that this should be on your bucket list as one of the things you must do in life. It will change your life.”

Facey says that the most rewarding part for her is watching the first-timers test the waters. “They get off the bus. Some people [jump right in] but others are a little shyer. To watch the transformation from the moment they get off the bus to when they’re leaving eight days later, it’s like you help somebody to discover who they are; to live out their dream.”

Hedo II is known for its theme night parties. Every night of the week is a different theme. Where else can you go and dress up as your alter ego or something that you always fantasized about without a worry in the world?

“We love to create that environment, and our guests love dressing up,” Facey says. “So we give away prizes for the best costumes.” Throughout the year, they have the same theme nights, but certain times of the year, they switch things up. “One of the biggest weeks of the year for us is our anniversary week, which also happens to be the day after Halloween. So for that week, we really turn it up and change all of the theme nights. We even give away free nights for the winners.”

There are also special event weeks. In August, Hedo II will be presenting the first ever BodyPalooza. The all-inclusive, adults-only, clothing-optional oasis is opening their white sand beaches to a wonderland of artistic expression. Body painters and performance artists from all over the world will be joining in the fun. “We’re very excited because body painting is something that we normally do at the hotel every week, but it’s usually guests just painting each other for fun,” Facey explained. “So, we’re now bringing in some of the world’s best body painters for this.”

Some of the artists who will be there have appeared on shows such as “Skin Wars,” and “America’s Got Talent.” The artists will also be competing to see who can create the best human paint job. Along with body painters and performance artists, playmates and Kandy Dolls will also be in the mix.

BodyPalooza will run from August 14–18, 2019. Guests will be able to paint or get painted by whichever artists they choose. Theme parties will include Superheroes vs. Villains; there will be a ’70s-’80s lip sync battle, a bodypainting carnival, and the pièce de résistance – the Kandyland Wonderland party – where the dress code is ABC (anything but clothes). Prizes will be given out for best bodypainting costumes. Guest deejays will be on site, and artists will be performing throughout the day. There’ll be workshops, live demos, and more.

Something is going on at Hedo nearly 24 hours a day. On the beach all day, they have plenty of activities. During BodyPalooza, guests will be able to partner up with one of the playmates, or the body painters and do a scavenger quest around the entire property. You can even win a date with the playmate of your choice; all you have to do is bid. Part of the proceeds goes to their hedonism foundation, which benefits their staff’s children. “We try to do everything to involve the community and take care of our staff,” Facey says. “We take care of our guests and make things fun for everybody.”

You can visit Hedonism.com for details. If you book using the BodyPalooza promo rate, they have special discounted group rates attached to them. It’s a price you can’t beat. The resort usually caters to couples but for the first time, if you book using the promo code, and you come during that week, they’re waiving the single supplement fee.

After BodyPalooza, comes a list of other exciting special event weeks. Be sure to check back with their website to see what’s next.

Facey tells Culturally Obsessed that the magic of the experience is really all about the people. “The people really are what make it beautiful. Our staff is amazing, and our guests are amazing. You’ve got white sand beaches, amazing food, amazing liquor; it is paradise. Everybody needs to experience it at least once in their lifetime.”
