Everyone will soon be immersed into the life of Latin artist Jose Alvaro Osorio Balvin also known as J Balvin.

Amazon Studios has now earned the worldwide rights of the documentary that was directed by Matthew Heineman, an Oscar-nominated and Emmy-winning filmmaker. 

The Boy From Medellin will have its world premiere at the 2020 Toronto International Film Festival in September. 

It  will show exclusive access to the best-selling reggaeton artist as he gets ready to perform the biggest concert of his life. A sold out concert in his hometown of Medellin, Colombia. It will also give an insight of the crucial and emotional moments the latin artist went through. 

Heineman gives the world an opportunity to see the behind-the-scenes of J Balvin’s life changing moments and will show the stardom of his successful career in Medellin Colombia.

J Balvin is a 4-time latin grammy award winner and is on the top streaming music artist in the world. With his talent he has earned a huge fan-base around the world.  

His recent album “Colores” was critically praised and it received commercial success. J Balvin songs ‘Blanco’, ‘Morado’, and ‘Rojo’ went #1 making him the artist with the most number 1 on the Latin Airplay charts in history.

The documentary was backed and fully financed by Endeavor Content and produced by Our Time Projects and Sb Projects.
