By now everyone has heard of the cross over hit “Mi Gente,” which also featured a 2nd version that included vocal track by the legendary Beyoncé. Since its release, Reggaton hit maker J Balvin has been breaking records and climbing charts with hit songs, collaborating with well-known artists, producing more hits and winning praises around the globe.

Back in January, the music video for his song “Matchika,” a collaboration with Jeon and rising Brazilian singer Anitta. Reached No.1 in less than 24hrs. It was the second single from his then untitled album to be released to the audiences.

Not long after, while performing at a sold-out concert in London. Balvin received four-stars from critics; referring to him as the man who will take reggaetón globally. Shortly after, the nominations for the Latin Billboard Music Awards came out; with Balvin leading the group, with 12 nominations. Then in March, Balvin released a second single from the upcoming album; “Ahora” along with its music video. By 10pm the following Monday night, the songs music video had reached 8 million views and was continuing to climb. “J Balvin throws it back with New Single ‘Ahora’: There’s no denying J Balvin is transcending music barriers. With the release of his 3rd single, “Ambiente.” Balvin announced the pre-sale release for his highly anticipated Album, titled “Vibras” to be on April 13th with official album release being the following month. Later that same month, Telemundo Deportes announced that “Positivo” a song by Balvin and Michael Bruns. Will be the networks official song for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia.

Ahead of todays release of Balvin’s VIBRAS. The Sunday New York Times spotlighted the album, as their pop music pick of the week (No English? No Problem At All). Aside from his own musical hits, Balvin has also collaborated with many other well-known artists. Such as Nicky Jam, Beyoncé, Cardi B, Jeon, Anitta, and Grammy winner Poo-Bear for his bilingual album “Poo Bear Presents Birthday Music.”
