J.K. Rowling Release’s New Harry Potter Short Story

Harry PotterJ.K. Rowling has returned to update what Harry Potter is doing now in a brand new short story released today via the writers website, Pottermore.com. The 1,500 word short story is written on an account of events that happen at the 2014 Quidditch World Cup Finals from the perspective of the “The Daily Prophet” reporter Rita Skeeter. Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley years after the events at Hogwarts talking about their adult lives and what they are currently doing. Potter is 34 at this point in the writing.

Rowling has not been too far from the universe that made her famous as she is currently writing a brand new series of books and a big screen trilogy,  Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The new movie trilogy will be based 70 years prior to the events of Harry Potter in the wizarding world with magical creatures and some familiar characters that Potter fans will know. The movie is currently projected for a 2016 release from Warner Bros.

Also teased in the new article will be another work by Skeeter, a book. The book titled Dumbledore’s Army: The Dark Side of the Demob, released on July 31 the day of Harry Potter’s birthday.
