I have some good news, and some bad news. The bad news is that Jurassic Park fans have until September 3 to experience Universal Studios’ Hollywood beloved Jurassic Park – The Ride. The thrill ride has been up since 1996, based on three-time Academy Award winner Steven Spielberg’s film franchise. The ride featured hydraulic physics, mechanics and space-age robotics. With life-size dinosaurs freely roaming the earth, Universal theme park ride creators call it one of the most compelling rides ever created.
The good news is that the ride isn’t completely going away.
The theme park is gearing up for the arrival of Jurassic World Ride, inspired by the 2015 film, directed by Colin Trevorrow. Guests will be back in the Jurassic era encountering characters Stegosaurus, Parasaurolophus, Velociraptors and the Tyrannosaurus Rex. The Jurassic Cove restaurant and retail store, Jurassic Outfitters will also close with the attraction and reopen with the new ride in 2019. You can watch the trailer here:
