Today may be a very sad day for Dodger fans nationwide. As fan favorite Kiké Hernandez infielder and outfielder will not be returning to the Los Angeles Dodgers and will join the Boston Red Sox for 2 years.

He then became a free-agent. It is expected that Hernandez will be a starter with the Boston Red Sox as the team is currently rebuilding itself.
The free-agent has signed a new $14 million deal that would last for two years with the Boston Red Sox.

Hernandez spent six years with the Los Angeles Dodgers, and definitely made a name for himself as a player for the Dodgers.

Unfortunately, his contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers came to an end after the 2020 season. Kiké also helped the Dodgers get to the world series by hitting 3 home runs and drove in 7 runs as that helped the Los Angeles Dodgers advance to the World Series against Houston. In the last season of his 6 year contract he averaged .230.

This decision was definitely a surprise to many of his fans, but well wishes go to Kiké Hernandez.
