Knott’s Berry Farm To Close Water Ride September 3

Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, CA announced today that September 3 will be the last day you will be able to ride Perilous Plunge. The theme park will be closing down the attraction to make way for a soon to be announced replacement.

Perilous Plunge is a 24 person 1 minute and 30 second  boat ride took guest up a long lift hill to only drop guest down a 115 foot vertical drop at a 75 degree angle. “Perilous Plunge has carried thousands of visitors over its 12 year tenure at Knott’s,” said Raffi Kaprelyan, general manager of Knott’s Berry Farm, “so we wanted to invite guests out to give it a proper send off.”

The attraction opened in 2000 to replace a dolphin show that was in the area once known as the Roaring 20’s area of the park. Knott’s Berry Farm is part of the Cedar Fair Entertainment Company family of amusement parks.
