All We Know will be featured on the next album from La Armada, “Anti-Colonial Vol. 2,” due later this year. The album will be released in the U.S. via their own label, Mal De Ojo Records.

In a statement released following the drop of the single the band wrote, “‘All We Know’ is a groove-filled anthem written from within the eye of a hurricane. Our singer came up with the lyrics after having lived through Hurricanes Irma and Maria, devastating earthquakes, and the pandemic, all from his native town in Yauco, Puerto Rico. It’s an angsty first hand account of the indifference and corruption that surrounded the government response to these disasters and a reminder that at the end of the day, this is how it’s always been, and that one way or another the people will always get by.”

The punk band’s goal is to leave their mark on the music industry with a blend of Afro-Caribbean rhythms and metal to create a sound as unique as they are.

La Armada was formed in the Dominican Republic in 2001 and moved to Chicago seven years later.

The band’s influences range from Bad Brains to Death, and musical elements from their native home. The band is dedicated to exposing the effects of neo-colonialism on vulnerable communities.

La Armada has shown their dedication to putting on a lively performance whether they are on a headline world tour, or supporting bands like Sick of it All, Propagandhi, Strung Out, Death by Stereo and many more.

The band is a five piece effort, with Casper Torres on vocals, Paul Rivera on guitar, Jonathan Salazar on guitar, Mani Marte on bass and Chino Sandoval on drums.
