Prince (Prince Rogers Nelson) was found dead at his Minnesota recording studio Paisley Park this today. The legendary musician had been suffering from flu like symptoms earlier this week.

It is a sad day in the music world as this legendary artist who began his career in the late 70’s has produced such as 1999, Red Corvette, The Beautiful One’s, Diamond and Pearls and so many more songs as well as influenced musicians over his time on this earth. He has worked with some of the most amazing musician of the world like Chaka Kahn, Kendrick Lamar, Sinead O’ Connor, Sheila E, Sheena Easton and so many more.

Prior to his most recent appearance however, he had cancelled two shows due to health concerns.

He last played in the Southern California area when he brought his Hit and Run tour and in earlier this year played a couple shows in Oakland, CA.

Prince was 57.
