If you haven’t heard, there is a new music genre. It’s called genre-fusion (sometimes called genre-blurring, etc.). The result of streaming services making music easily accessible has brought an end to most people only listening to artists of one genre. An exciting side effect of this has been an uprising of artists that can’t, and refuse, to fit into one genre description.

Cue binki.

With only six songs currently available for streaming, binki has already caught attention for his style of genre-fusion.

binki’s newest single “Revolve” has Joy Division-esque bass and synthesizer lines. It is a dance-friendly track and will likely be welcomed with a warm embrace from former and current emo kids.
