This past Thursday local artist Fredo Ortiz brought his new sound to Pasadena asÂ Bongoloidz, his new solo project. Ortiz played at the Zona Rosa Caffe in Pasadena, CA a favorite spot in the San Gabriel Valley for local artist. Ortiz who has played with such bands as Ozomatli, Morningwood, Beastie Boys and currently just returned from Europe playing with Funeral Party is developing a sound with his one person sound machine. From hip hop to rock he runs the spectrum and mixes all these sounds together to make it his own unique vision. He is currently playing local venues testing and creating his sounds and is looking to record all these songs very soon for his first EP. Ortiz will be playing this Sunday with Funeral Party at The Music Box at the Henry Fonda Theater. Tickets are still available for this show.
