During the Walt Disney Companies Investor Day Lucasfilm Ltd. announced new Star Wars series coming to Disney+ in the next couple years.

Lets starts from the beginning two shows coming beginning in Christmas of 2021 with be Star Wars Rangers of the New Republic and Star Wars Ahsoka which will be a spinoff series to Ahsokas role in The Mandolorian.

In addition to these two series Star Wars Andor based on the character in Rogue One played by Diego Luna Cassian Andor will go more in depth into the character. It is set to be released in 2022. They also announced a new series The Acolyte which will be based in the final days of the new Republic.

Limited series were announced during the presentation as well with one being the highly anticipated Obi-Wan Kenobi with Ewan McGregor returning to the role and Hayden Christian returning as Darth Vader and will follow the characters stories 10 years after the events of Revenge of the Sith. In addition to this limited series another one is being worked on to focus on Lando Calrissian entitled, Lando.

In addition they announced animated series coming to Disney+ with The Bad Batch which was announced during D23 Expo and A Droid Story with C-3PO and R2D2 a part of these new stories. Star Wars shorts series will be coming soon also called Visions which will be Japanese Anime stories coming to Disney+.

When is comes to Star Wars on the big screen it is officially announced that Patty Jenkins will be directing Star Wars Rogue Squadron. A story of one of the most famous rebel squads in the history. The film is set to be released Christmas of 2023.
