On the heels of announcing his first US concert tour, DOPAMINA, Manuel Turizo was just named the year’s best songwriter by the SESAC Latin Organization.

The fast-rising singer-songwriter and urban idol received the “Composer of the Year” title in the Pop-Latin Rhythm category.  Additionally, he was recognized with six other awards for his musical productions on tracks such as “LA NOTA” and “TE QUEMASTE,” among others.

This year definitely brought a lot of great news for Manuel Turizo. He is not only an internationally renowned performer who makes a difference for his romantic-styled music and powerful voice, but his career has experienced a tremendous overnight boost thanks to the success of his second studio album, DOPAMINA

Turizo, together with his brother Julián Turizo, worked in writing and producing a majority of the tracks making this a very personal project. The album includes the already-hits “Quiéreme Mientras Se Pueda,” “La Nota” featuring Rauw Alejandro and Myke Towers, “Mala Costumbre” featuring legendary duo Wisin y Yandel. Other notable collaborations include El Alfa and will. i.am, Farruko, Dalex, Justin Quiles, Jay Wheeler, and Miky Woodz, making up 13 unique tracks that will take you to another level. “This is not an album to enjoy one or two songs,” says Manuel. “We took the time to work with detail and passion on each song to make them stand out and have the potential of becoming singles. Dopamina is an album to listen to from the beginning to end.”

Since its release – nearly three months ago – the single “Amor En Coma” feat. Maluma has been no.24 on Billboards Hot Latin Songs chart for the past eleven weeks and has reached over 42 million views on YouTube.
