Mark Hoppus, the legendary singer and bassist of Blink-182, revealed on social media that he is battling cancer.

Hoppus revealed that he has been undergoing chemotherapy for three months.

“It sucks and I’m scared, and at the same time I’m blessed with incredible doctors and family and friends to get me through this,” Hoppus said in part on his social media post.

Hoppus said that he has months of treatment ahead of him, but ended with a positive note.

“Can’t wait to be cancer free and see you all at a concert in the near future. Love to you all,” Hoppus wrote.

Fans quickly showed Mark Hoppus support, tweeting pictures of themselves embracing the singer during previous tours, others posted tattoos that were inspired by Blink-182.

Hoppus’ bandmates also showed their support, with Travis Barker posting a picture of himself and Hoppus to his Instagram story, and Tom DeLonge posting an encouraging message to his Twitter.
